Activities in each Level K lesson includes games, treasure hunts, songs, and various hands-on activities to bring letter concepts to life.
Teachers are provided with well-planned daily sequential lessons plans. We have provided teachers with a recommended scope and sequence that builds upon itself throughout the school year. The lessons are sectioned and color-coded to allow teachers to change the scope and sequence easily and meet the needs of their existing curriculum.
In the very first lesson, students will meet two ants, Andrew and his little brother, Alex. As little brothers sometimes do, Alex wanders off, leaving Andrew in something of a panic. All works out well for the brothers, but Kindergarteners will enjoy playing the role of Andrew Ant as they search for Alex on each of the workbook pages.
Rarely has teaching across the curriculum been made easier. Each letter unit contains a variety of cross-curriculum activities for enhancing multicultural, language arts, math, science, health, art, cooking, games and parental involvement. The teacher guides contain a literature list following each letter of the week. Hundreds of titles and authors are given. This is a perfect way to help classroom teachers and librarians create a classroom library.
